The majority of the signs are very old and are hard to read. Maybe if they were updated, they would be taken seriously. And, perhaps submit warnings first, requesting violators to utilize parking lots and E/W bound streets.

Actually most have been replaced there is only 2 or 3 left that are faded and a lot of the cars are usually in front of the chase building in front of the apartment building on Ruth or by the motorcycle shop closer to the hospital but I never see any enforcement it's only two hours and I always see officers parked nearby doing absolutely nothing

Thanks for addressing this annoyance...and it is on a daily basis. After addressing traffic gridlocks for an hour coming home from Chicago, one last one block from home should be eliminated if only enforced code would happen.

Will continue to monitor situation. Just an update. Enforcement has been stepped up for both parking and speeding violations. So far, thru my citations, it appears the majority of parking violators and speeders reside outside the city, with the speeders heading out to south county. The GoGetters include a Doctor, a Nurse, and a Law Enforcement officer working security at St Margarets who reside outside the City. And also the SouthShore riders who work in Chicago and reside south and are in a hurry to get home. And for jaridd1, waiting a few seconds for Hammond traffic is nothing compared to sitting in Chicago's traffic. But I got to admit, traffic is flowing a little better. Stay Safe !
