The ongoing Ferry St construction completely blocked off Vernal St, which is a one way, tonight. This isn't the fist time. How does the city not realize how unacceptable this is? If you are going to block off the entrance to an entire street you absolutely must give notice. 1) Post signs on the street for a few days prior so people are aware. 2) Post signs far ahead of the route on the night of the project to let people know they must go down the one way.

This evening I went down Central Ave to turn onto Ferry so I can turn onto Vernal St, where I live. Because there are no signs warning about this at the start of Central Ave when I get to the bottom I see road is blocked. I circled around through numerous side streets to turn onto Ferry from the other direction to turn onto Vernal St. Only when I got to the intersection of Ferry and Glendale I found out that is blocked to. And, in fact, Vernal St itself is completely blocked off.

This is just a complete and utter disregard for the citizens of Everett. It is disrespectful and absurd. There would be no harm to the construction to post signs earlier in the route. There would be no harm in warning people who live on the Street that it would be blocked off. The only reason I can think of not to do so is you want us to know how little we matter.
