My husband and I just purchased our home August 2009. We had an inspection done on our home and there were some items that the sellers needed to have fixed. They used Curtis Brown from Arc Home Remodel to fix these things. Then, when we had all of the snow around Christmas we found that we had leaks in our entry way ceiling, daughter's bedroom, and master bathroom. We contacted Curtis and to his own admission said that it was due to the snow and because the areas needed more attention when he originally did the repairs for the sellers. To that end he would come out and put new vents in our roof and rectify the water marks on our ceilings for $100. After 2 now show appointments to do the work he finally came out about 2 weeks ago. He put the vents in the roof and sprayed the water marks with a bleach solution. I gave him a check for $100 and he told me that if I needed anything else to please be sure to call. The marks on my daughter's bedroom ceiling are gone, but I called at 8am the following morning and left him a message telling him that the marks in the entryway and master bath still needed more attention. Didn't hear back. Called a few days later, he did answer and told me he would be out this past Monday and if something came up he would be sure to call. No call and he did not show up. My husband and I have both been trying to get ahold of him and have left multiple messages and he has not answered his phone once, nor called back but has cashed the check I gave him without completing the job. This is getting so frustrating and I really need the Problem Solver's help to get this rectified. I don't want anyone else having to deal with this in the future!
