Description
Out picking up trash as part or the neighborhood clean up I noticed a pattern emerge. Most areas have scattered trash. Norm city living. But there were also problem areas. Guess where these were... The familiar problem places: anal multi unit rentals. Something needs to be done about this. Broken window policing needs to be expanded to trash. It is not the sanitation departments responsibility to it is a certain individuals that make others question if they want to live in this area and deal with the lowered quality of life it creates. Dies the city do anything about this? You try to make the place better but we need the city's help. The city needs to develop some more forceful tactics to deal with the problem areas of trash and blight. I am willing to pick up but I am not willing to be the maid to people who can't even be bothered to throw their trash in the trash can. They need to go. But also the landlords, who welcome these people into the neighborhood, need to be held responsible. They shouldn't be allowed to make money at the expense of others in the neighborhood whose quality of life suffers due to their tenants lifestyle.

The City of St Petersburg periodically reviews past reports that are made from citizens within our city limits, and in an effort to clean-up old issues that were resolved some time ago, we are marking as 'closed' those issues that were submitted in the past for which the work has been completed or the issue has otherwise been resolved.
If you think for any reason that the issue you submitted in the past might still be unresolved, please feel free to submit a new report with the SeeClickFix St. Pete website and we will make sure the issue is directed to the appropriate City department to be addressed as soon as possible.
