Thank you for taking the time to contact us regarding your concern, although we are having trouble figuring out exactly what it is that you are asking us to do.
Please be more clear and we will see what we can do to accommodate your request.
The lot needs to have somebody come clean the garbage up from it and mow the weeds down, this is an area that needs to be maintained weekly because of the weeds and garbage that builds up there.
The vegetation is maintained to a 6" maximum length, as per UDOT policy. As much as we agree with you that litter is quite the nuisance and the eyesore, we lack the manpower and the resources to keep on top of it on a weekly basis. You are more than welcome to get together a group of neighbors to patrol and maintain that area if you choose. Otherwise, I'm afraid it will take the back seat to more safety-conscious matters.
The vegetation is over 6" tall and clearly is not being maintained at the 6" maximum. Garbage has been piled up in the corner for over a year, last year you had a group come by every two weeks to mow the weeds down after I complained. It is not the responsibility of the neighborhood to clean the lot up, that is what our taxes pay you to do. If we are to maintain it then sell me the lot so I can maintain it. Do not close the ticket when the issue has not been fixed, in fact who is your supervisor so I can send them an email about the issue.
I appreciate your concern and comments regarding the surplus property on Driggs Avenue.
I have talked with our Station Supervisor and they are aware of the situation surrounding this area, along with your concerns. Our maintenance folks should be out in the next few days to clean and trim the area.
I would like to ask that you please contact me directly with any future concerns regarding the surplus property.
