This is not a closed issue as the road is still a mess. It can be closed once the town has:
a.) ensured Harvey has cleaned up by inspecting the area,
b.) put an action plan in place to ensure it won't happen again, and
c.) set up a time for a meeting with the town administrator.

I fully agree with Scott. Having spent 2 hours clearing Trash from Milford Road on Saturday I am disappointed that the Town and Harvey have not delivered as promised in supporting the volunteers who are trying to enhance the community in which we all live.

I have been frustrated with the service from Harvey for years. We have our trash/recycle out by 7:30 am and we get no service until 6:00 PM. I have seen wildlife being attracted to trash on more than one occasion. My 'favorite' issue is when the truck does half of the neighborhood and FORGETS to turn the truck around to do the other half. Maybe if they weren't talking in a cell phone while picking things up they could get the job done. I have called to register my complaint and got no response. Hope this issue gets the attention it deserves.

I also just ran down Carroll Rd, and there is not a single recycling bin that doesn't have paper, cans and bottles left on the ground from today's pick-up.

I am free Friday morning to get the meeting scheduled. Please confirm 9:30 or suggest an alternate time.

I would also love to see better earlier pick up. We just moved to Grafton in November. We put our recycling out yesterday morning at 7am and went to work. We were notified by one of our neighbors in the afternoon that due to the strong winds our bin had tipped over and all of our recycling spilled onto the street. This could have easily been prevented if the collection was earlier in the day.

Thank you for your comments. We have addressed this issue with the hauling company and sending notices to all the neighbors to make sure the lids to the recycling bins are closed so litter is not blown along the street.
