FayFixIt assigned this issue to Solid Waste

The City of Fayetteville has resolved this issue.

Based upon further advisement from an Environmental Services Department Official, extra trash bags are not allowed for removal curbside. All waste disposal bags must go inside of the Green City trash container for appropriate disposal to occur each week. Please advise as to how many bags will need to get collected separately on your normal Household pickup day, Monday-5/9/16, due to your move in status. This information will get forwarded to the appropriate Environmental Services Route Supervisor for further review. In addition, cardboard boxes must be flattened and empty to be scheduled for Waste Management pickup. Boxes filled with trash are unable to get collected. You can also dispose of these items at the Ann Street Landfill located at 698 Ann Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301. Your recycling service day occurs on each Monday. If you would like to arrange a pick up of empty, flattened boxes or have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reply.

We have about 6-7 extra trash bags that need to be picked up aside from the trash bin

We need them picked up ASAP due to animals going through our trash.

Thank you for your prompt response. I will advise the Household Route Supervisor of this request, on your behalf. Put them curbside, beside the trash bin on this upcoming Monday-5/9/16. This is your normal service day for trash pickup. Try to ensure that no spillage has occurred and that the trash bags are visible and easy to access. In regards to the cardboard boxes that need to be collected, Service Request ID#: 63235 has been created. As a gentle reminder, please ensure that the boxes are empty, flattened and placed curbside next to your blue recycling container on your weekly recycling collection day. Boxes must be cut into 3x3 sections.(EG: large moving boxes, appliance boxes,etc.) Bundling is not required. If boxes are bundled, they must weigh less than 20lbs.

Hi I followed you instructions but my trash did not get picked up at the normal pick up time for my neighborhood.

Nvm I see no one else's trash had been picked up either

In regards to the extra trash bags that remain curbside, the Household Route Driver has not been within this service area yet. He has been made aware of the extra trash that is currently placed curbside, near your Green City can. This issue should be resolved by the end of the business day.
