Can you tell me what department the permit was being issued from?

We have most departments set up to take credit cards. We still have a few areas that do not have that capability yet. We are working to get all departments set up to offer that option for payment, and our goal is to have that accomplished by August 1. Regarding the credit card fees, we have not built the fees into the costs of any of our permits. The municipality recognized that not all residents utilize the option of paying with a credit or debit card, and therefore chose not to include the credit card fees with the amount charged for a permit, or for any other item or service where payment is required. The fees are passed through to the payer who chooses to use a credit or debit card as payment. I like the idea of also offering the options of paypal and/or apple pay. Our Chief Financial Officer will look into this and how we might be able to add these as payment options. I am sorry we had a resident who is unhappy with the service received and hope that we can make changes soon that will be satisfactory in the future.
