I got tired of reporting. Also, there is a pile of buckets, maybe 10, in one corner of encampment. No telling what's in them. Maybe human waste? Maybe chemicals from a dump? Who knows.

Also, when the city makes the homeless move their tents in order to clean, they move across the street, even closer to our homes, blocking the sidewalk and they stay there for a week or so before moving back under the freeway. I guess moving that tent is a lot of work. This approach is not solving the problem. Obviously something different needs to be done. Maybe if you came by and made them move everyday, eventually they would decide that it's too much work living there. Then they might seek help for their underlying issues

I had reopened and commented on this post, but my message wasn't posted for some reason. This is what I had written:
This morning a police car was stationed on the median, which has since been cleared out. Everyone/thing/tent has simply moved to the sidewalk on Peralta, Magnolia, and now onto 35th. The median is the only area of this triangle that has been cleared.
Does Oakland Public Works consider this a "closed" issue because one segment of the area was cleaned up? This is by no means a solution, and as Karla mentions in her comments.
