Sorry, until it is fixed I would prefer to keep it open. If it has been passed along to the appropriate department, then leaving it as acknowledged here should not impede the work, right?

Sorry - not until it is fixed. Until then I know you have the option of making this acknowledged which is accurate. The water is backed up into the intersection as I write this.
It's wrong for anyone to mark this as closed as long as the problem is not fixed. This isn't SeeClickClosed; it is SeeClickFIX.
I've had the experience multiple times of issues being closed and NOTHING was done to fix the problem.

So I am taking the time to report a problem to a site that city personnel told me to use - but then someone else is giving me a phone number that I can call to follow up. Sorry. Not happening. Just because the city wants to improve their stats on this site, these unfixed issues keep getting closed. I'm sick of it. I've passed along this concern about the scam of this site to two reporters.

We need to work together "Building the Best Richmond" by not closing issues that aren't fixed. This should be acknowledged instead of closed. That's accurate. So until you do that be prepared to keep coming on here to close it because I will keep opening it until it is FIXED.
