This signal is coordinated with the other signals on Hwy 13 which means the signal holds the green so northbound and southbound Hwy 13 traffic doesn’t have to stop at every signal. There are 5 different coordination timing plans on Hwy 13 that change throughout the day and if you just miss the green, the longest time a left turning vehicle should have to wait for the next green is about two and a half minutes.

I will add the suggestion to install a Flashing Yellow Arrow at this signal to our list of good candidates for a retrofit when funds become available. However, the Flashing Yellow Arrow indication for Hwy 13 traffic may not be active during the busiest times of the day even if the signal is retrofitted to a Flashing Yellow Arrow head.
