Description

The median on 40th Street between West and Martin Luther King. Is overgrown with 6 to 7 feet high dry weeds. The flowers have died, the leaves on the trees are dying, and the weeds have overtaken the entire area. The median is now being used to dump trash, cans, bottles, refuse, and now human waste, includind excrement. This has now become a serious blight, fire hazard and health hazard.
The plants and trees on the other blocks on 50th Street between Adeline Street to Market Street to West Street are being remarkbly well kept. Yet, the one block on 40th Street between West and Martin Luther King has been neglected and is in a severy blighted condition. Calls have been made to Vegetation and Public Works., but there has not been any response. THIS IS A FIRE HAZARD!! Smells are coming from the median area, rodents. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD!!! THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE!!! THIS IS A SERIOUS BLIGHT ISSUE!!!
