City staff has been working with Deffenbaugh over the last few months to reduce odor issues. This week Deffenbaugh is removing composting materials that are contributing to the odor issues. The City Council is scheduled to review the Special Use Permit to operate the landfill on Monday, June 13 at 7:30 pm here at City Hall. The public is welcome to attend.

At the June 13, City Council Meeting, the Governing Body tabled Deffenbaugh's Special Use Permit so that an independent consultant can conduct an odor study to determine causes and steps to remediate.
