This landlord has about 10 properties in the city of Lansing per the city assessor site. Nearly every one has open violations on them. Yes, some have been resolved, but there are many still open. No responsible property owner has that many violations open at one time. No responsible property owner tells neighbors to move if they don't like his tenants. There are young children living in that house that are being subjected to filth and drunk and disorderly conduct at all hours day and night. The neighbors have to keep their windows closed so that their own children are not subjected to it. They can't even play outside in their own yards because of it. The police are called daily by several different neighbors. The landlord is not complying with anything other than filling his own pockets with taxpayers money.

I understand I have neighbors like that, you might need to talk to the city attorney about it being a problem house in your neighborhood

It is probably time to contact the city attorney. This house and tenants are horrible. I usually have my adult kids and grandchild here in the summer to enjoy the area. Last summer I rented rooms at a hotel for our weekend because I did not want my granddaughter exposed to be the large number of yelling and swearing adults, garbage, vermin and the dozen or so unruly kids that are everywhere. I've lived in different areas of Lansing and this house is one of the worse properties in the city.

Has Child Pritective Services been called?? No child should be subjected to living in those type of conditions and to that type of emotional abuse.

Contacted the city atty months ago and they sent a letter. No change. I believe someone else has contacted them again recently.

1616 & 1624 James continues to be a mess. Garbage and unsupervised children.
