Description
I drive past this park each day and it seems that it needs to be mowed more than just once every other week. The grass is too high for our children to play safely at the playground. I worry about snakes, ticks and other pests that can be kept at bay with more frequent maintenance to these grounds. Please fix Hunters Cove Park City of Chesapeake.

I received a response from Parks and Recreation regarding the grass cutting in the parks.
"Thank you for your contacting us with your concern about high grass at Hunters Cove Park. Current resources allow for mowing of neighborhood parks on a 14 day cycle. We are striving to reduce that cycle to 12 days but when there are extended periods of wet weather, that becomes an extra challenge. Hunter’s Cove is scheduled to be mowed today and the next scheduled mowing is on or around June 24, 2016. Due to all the rain we’ve had, the grass is high all over the City and cutting when too saturated often produces damage to the turf in our parks."
Respectfully,
Susan
