I know every morning the steam cleaner is cleaning sidewalks. But the area we have the most staining is in front of TPumps. They seem to be too lazy to help out and clean the sidewalk area. We should come up with a penalty system if the renter or owner lets their area become dirty and nasty. I personally will be encouraging this owner to clean up his area. Louisa Kao owns the building and TPumps is the renter.

More a reflection of the "people" on Burlingame Ave. I've seen them clean it one morning and by noon it's a mess.

I walk by the Tpumps everyday at 5:30am 360+ days/year. Let me check it out. Thanks for input John.

Thanks much. I am of the opinion we have a tendency to rely too much on our Government to make things happen. Keeping a shop clean means from the front door to the street. They do it all over the world with a little water and a broom. Nothing harmful to the environment. :-)

The City public works department cleans the sidewalks with a special machine every weekday around 7 to 8 am. They also have workers who pick up trash, empty the cans and scrub the doorways and other areas the machine cannot reach. They are an incredible crew and when dogs and humans urinate on the street, the come out and clean that up too. The city spends an incredible amount of time and money trying to stay on top of the hugely popular Ave! But yes, it would be nice if big spills and food messes were cleaned up quickly by the merchants whose products contribute.

I agree! I noticed today when my kids came home with the dreaded T-Pumps that they have a new sealed lid - it is not a snap on, but more like a glued on lid. I wonder if the complaints mounted and they figured this out as a solution to help reduce the mess? Thanks for the added suggestions!

This really falls to the merchants to remedy. I agree with prior posting that city can do so much.

I was at the Ave by T pumps yesterday - it's back to its normal dirty, sticky sidewalk - I suggest the City needs to inform the bet giant or the building owner
