The Northway behind my house keeps getting louder and louder (since 2001 when I moved here). Is there anyway to put up a noise barrier behind the houses on Wedgewood to cut down on the noise?

I just did a huge write up, and the site did not post it. Basically, I lived in Malta, and had the same issues. And the road grime all over the car every day.
The cost for each 100 feet of a sound barrier is in the millions of dollars and to be effective, they need to be 30 feet tall.
I-287 in NJ put them up, but it took 40 years of people fighting to get it done.
They can't even afford to salt or plow in the winter, so I don't ever see sound walls being a thing.
Other states take the money designated for highway repair and improvement and use it for that.
NY does not. One of the reasons I left NY.

Looking at your location, one thing you could do, that I did, was to put up a high fence, all the way around the property. If you can get your neighbors to do the same, it would really help. You need as high as you can get. 12 foot PVC, solid, with no gaps, from ground level would help. It is expensive. But it does help when you are outside in the yard, or on the first floor. The second floor, you are going to still get the noise.
I put in double pain insulated windows, and new sound proof outer doors, which really helped as well.
Good luck. Not sure how long you have been there. Moving might be a better option. The upgrades I did cost about 50k, so depending on what you paid, how much is left on the mortgage, and what you could find that is not near a highway, it might be worth it.
One thing to do, go late at night to any place you are looking to move to, around midnight, 1am, and just stand in the street, and see what you can hear.
You would be amazed how far the highway noise travels.
I had locations 4 and 5 miles from the highway that were a constant rumble in the background.
Drove me crazy constantly hearing it.
I moved to the country, out of state. I have a lot of farm land surrounding me now, which is really good.
I also have a natural sound barrier from the nearest highway in the form of a hill that is about 30 feet high between me and the highway. Very peaceful and quiet here at night.
I wish you luck
