Unless a parade of elephants just came though town those sidewalks are fine. I personally walk from Brackenbury to Main Street to the MBTA every day of the week.
Not going to fight you Scott but right if front of my driveway the sidewalk is broken apart. Maybe you are walking on the other side of the street. @city of Malden, I can send you pics if you want to see the proof
I never asked to see pics of the cracked sidewalk, I was simply stating that the condition of the sidewalk in this particular area is pretty good. In a perfect world where is rains wine and hundred dollar bills all the time would the City fix every sidewalk in front of everyone's house all the time.....well probably not...but lets start with them simply replacing the streets/sidewalks that are causing issues in the City such as legitimate trip hazards or ADA issues. The ADA laws are extremely specific and if your sidewalk is not in compliance with the ADA then by all means I apologize and suggest the City fix it ASAP. I'll make sure to spend extra time in the morning on my way to the MBTA inspecting all of the sidewalk panels and I'll bring my handy dandy sidewalk tester that they sell in fantasy land.
I just witnessed an older gentleman trip over a raised sidewalk panel in this area. He went limping away hopefully he will be ok. Although he appeared to be intoxicated.
