The area that is referred to in this e-mail is in fact a drywell . There are no connections the existing storm water system. When the ground is saturated, the water has no place to go. This drywell was installed about 10-12 years ago with all alternatives explored. Unfortunately, there were no viable and cost effective remedies other than the drywell.

Is it possible/econimically viable to expand the dry well?

Might it be possible to sculpt the road to prevent the standing water/ponding when the dry well is full? Perhaps ice is worse than the water down Salem drive, particularly if it had a "channel" to follow...

Is there someway to better protect the well from the leaves? I recognize that this is a wooded area, but the leaves and debris do seem to add to the issue....
