Description
There is a lot of traffic on Independence Street between NW Highway and 63rd. This is a residential section, but has very heavy traffic cutting through on Independence to get to NW 63rd. Big, heavy commercial trucks and lots of other traffic. I live on the corner of NW 61st and Independence. You cannot even enjoy sitting outside because of the traffic noise. Is there something that can be done to reroute some of this traffic?

INDEPENDENCE IS THE HALF MILE ROAD BETWEEN MAY AND PORTLAND, AND LIKE MOST HALF MILE ROADS IN OKC IT IS DESIGNED AS A TRAFFIC USE ROAD. SINCE THIS AREA WAS DEVELOPED OVER 50 YEARS AGO THE TRAFFIC ON INDEPENDENCE AS NOT CHANGED THAT MUCH.
?? HOW DO YOU GET HOME ??
THE BIGGER ISSUE IS TRAFFIC CUTTING THROUGH THE NEIGHBORHOODS AROUND INDEPENDENCE TO AVOID THAT STREET, AND BOTH THE INTERSECTIONS OF INDEPENDENCE AT 63RD AND NW HIGHWAY.
