Description
Several problems combining to a dangerous situation.
Intersection of Crescent, Munson, Glen, and Winthrop, behind Hillhouse HS.
Blinking red light out. Stop sign down. Tree blocking street. Wires down.
Traffic speeding around corner, no light or sign to stop, head towards tree, stop suddenly, make U turn while others come around corner.
Constant pattern. Accident likely.

The sign was fixed. The intersection is still dangerous.
UI cut power yesterday around 5pm when we called it in. So the tree blocking the road should be safe to remove. Power has been shut off since yesterday 5 pm.
There are many Elderly people on the block without power. Several city workers have looked at it, but no action.

With only a couple more hours of daylight and no power to this street it is going to be a bad situation.
I cannot count the number of crews that have come on behalf of the city to inspect the site. But can count how many have done something... 0!

Have been without power for 24 hours.
Elderly neighbors asked me to reach out for help. They have been without phone, heat, or power for 24 hours. Sun about to set. Cell phones dying now.
UI cut power immediately at 5pm yesterday, but communication not getting thru to Parks. Contacted Alderwoman who said she called Mayor this morning.
Many city trucks have come to take pictures, no action yet.
Thanks in advance.

UI was here yesterday. Confirmed power off. Was told several days before power restoration. Contracted tree company came out this afternoon and removed tree. I got power restored after tree removed. Unsure if rest of neighbors have power or not. Thank you for removing the tree.
Glen Rd. is still very dirty and could use street sweeping when resources allow.
Neighbors had asked for this particular tree to be removed for past 2 years, with little response from city. This could have caused major life or property damage. There are other trees on the street that have been ignored by city as well.
Just to clarify, Signs notifying drivers that Glen Rd. was impassable were not put up in timely fashion, causing traffic issues until last evening, when proper signs were put on both sides of affected street.
