I forgot to mention... I saw the interior of this house after it was vacated. Aside from being in poor condition, there is Mold in the house, in a bedroom, in an east entry way and in the basement. I imagine it is worse by now with no air conditioning or air flow. I see the house has a for sale sign out front and thought it was illegal to sell a house with mold. The back deck is also caving in and we are getting strange bugs as well as wasps from there.

Thank you for posting your concerns. Mold is not regulated by Mason City, nor by the state. The house has been foreclosed on and is being sold as is. The inspector saw no evidence of wasp infestation and the four shoppers were picked up. Volunteer trees are not considered a nuisance, but you are allowed to trim to the property line anything from trees, shrubs, bushes, etc. that may be hanging over onto your property.

If the grass is not being mowed we will have a contractor do that, but it must be 12" or more according to our ordinance.
