Description

At the intersection of Yonge and Bloor, there appear to be traffic signs that change automatically depending on the time of day (i.e. no turns at rush hour, no right turns on red light at other times). They use mechanical flaps to change the image on the sign accordingly.

Travelling south on Yonge approaching Bloor, the sign on the north side of the street appears to be broken; it is not reporting the same direction as the one on the south side of the street. When I passed through the intersection, the (broken?) sign on the north side showed the "no turns" symbol, while the one hanging by the light on the south side showed "no right turns on red." The mixed signals caused confusion and angry confrontations when some vehicles tried to turn there.
