My wonderful neighbor, who has basically adopted my wife and I as her pseudo-grandchildren, is in need of some help. She's 74 years old and has been a part of this neighborhood for 40 years. Now, in her later years, her roof and home have fallen into disrepair. I'm hoping that the city has a program, or that someone knows of a program, that helps our elderly population with home repairs. Her roof is in very poor shape. I'm pretty sure rodents are able to access her attic and that her roof is leaking bad. My wife and I think the world of her and hate to see her struggle. If I wasn't a blue collar firefighter and I had some sort of auxiliary income that could cover it, I'd do it...but, I don't. Here's hoping that someone knows of a program that will help.

Thank you to everyone that has commented and starred this post. I accidentally posted this as a guest, but wanted to thank everyone for their interest. Here's hoping that all of this positivity translates into a better home for someone who truly deserves it.
Any thoughts on Habitat for Humanity? Would that be an option?

The City of St Petersburg periodically reviews past reports that are made from citizens within our city limits, and in an effort to clean-up old issues that were resolved some time ago, we are marking as 'closed' those issues that were submitted in the past for which the work has been completed or the issue has otherwise been resolved.
If you think for any reason that the issue you submitted in the past might still be unresolved, please feel free to submit a new report with the SeeClickFix St. Pete website and we will make sure the issue is directed to the appropriate City department to be addressed as soon as possible.
Thank you - MAC
