This issue was opened and archived, I was unable to re-open so an opening a new one:
A crosswalk at this intersection is critical for the safety of the pedestrians who wish to cross Franklin St to or from Rustic Road. There are two pre-schools in the immediate are as well as the Colonial Park School. This section of Franklin St is like a highway at times and impossible to cross.
**Anthony Wilson replied to the original issue stating the painting dates and if this was not complete to re-open if not done by July 8th.
The crosswalk has not been completed as of yet.

Heather, some of the towns departments do use this forum and respond in a timely fashion. The Board of Selectman do not receive any of these postings as most Stoneham residents think they do. Most of this forum is smoke and mirrors. The real problems still get put in to the circular file.
IMO if you have a problem or question in the Town of Stoneham get on the phone and call the department or stop by Town Hall, DPW or the Police Station.
If you want to talk to a Selectman, the best day to get their attention is on Voting Day at Town Hall while they are standing out front holding a sign with their name on it. I bet you they will listen and talk to you for hours. Any other day, good luck.
