Thanks for posting this. If you are able to keep taking and posting pics of the cars (with license plates), we can see if there are certain people who are doing this consistently.

Also, if anyone has the time for it, maybe someone could stop on that block, call the police, ask them to come ticket the people right then while they are parked there, and wait to see the ticketing actually occur. (Otherwise, the PD may simply ignore the issue)

I'm confused as to why the City would go to the trouble to install the bike lanes and then not do the implementation necessary for the success of the lanes, such as enforcing the parking violations and moving the meters.

Oakland actually is enforcing the bike lanes. I see tickets on cars there regularly, but people continue to park there for some reason. In mid-December the city will be installing additional bollards and signage to hopefully alleviate any additional confusion, and a $4.5M state grant they won will enable them to install more substantial separation on the existing bikeway segment while also extending it up to 40th Street.
