Description
We live near the Papa John's Pizza on 4th Street and we are continuously woken up by their commercial dumpster pickup in the morning at roughly 6:45am, 6 days a week - several hours before the residential noise ordinance allows for such loud noises.
We have spent money to have our windows upgraded and even started sleeping with ear plugs to block the noise, and we are still violently awakened 6 days a week by this early dumpster service, which sounds (and feels) as though something is falling on our house.
We have put in several calls to both sanitation and the SPPD and nothing has been resolved. Please let us know how we can stop this from happening. Being so close a residential area, it only seems reasonable that the dumpster pickup for those businesses would have to follow residential noise ordinance limits.
We have made a SeeSlickFix post before, and it seemed that the schedule was temporarily changed to an afternoon pickup, but now they are again picking up the dumpsters from PapaJohn's and other surrounding businesses at 6:45 (or earlier!) in the morning. This is the 2nd or 3rd time that there has been a temporary change in schedule that has reverted back to the original schedule after a few months. Can someone please make this a *permanent* change? There is nothing changing about the situation that would make it acceptable to resume such loud noises during the noise ordinance restriction period.

The City of St Petersburg periodically reviews past reports that are made from citizens within our city limits, and in an effort to clean-up old issues that were resolved some time ago, we are marking as 'closed' those issues that were submitted in the past for which the work has been completed or the issue has otherwise been resolved.
If you think for any reason that the issue you submitted in the past might still be unresolved, please feel free to submit a new report with the SeeClickFix St. Pete website and we will make sure the issue is directed to the appropriate City department to be addressed as soon as possible.
