SeeClickFix requests being closed before actually being fixed results in duplicate requests as CSR's. I can't even imagine what a nightmare this is on the back end for DPU etc.

Please acknowledge requests, and only close them once the issue is confirmed fixed. This system can work better for everyone!

Thanks for your concern with this issue, However if you notice in the comment its saysThis SCF request will be closed.
PLEASE REFER TO RVA # ###########, WHICH IS STILL OPEN, when inquiring. Follow ups can also be conducted by dialing Richmond Customer Care at 804-646-7000
. The category "Other" is not a Department.

I'm glad the issues are still open under the RVA#, but citizens do not have access to that, and many of us don't have the time to call in during the work day. The bigger problem is things getting missed... If the issue is left open until it is actually fixed, it will help the city by avoiding duplicate reports, and allow others to provide more information on problems. This is not a concern about a specific department, which is why I marked "Other". Thank you again. Go RVA!!

This was getting better, but it seems to have started back towards the end of last week, especially on grafitti related posts. I have reopened several.

Seems much better!! Now there are some older acknowledged reports that need to be closed. Citizens cannot close acknowledged reports, so we ask the city please do.

Unfortunately this has started happening again. Especially with public works tickets. I understand they may not have a rep on here, but citizens/reporters can help verify if an issue has actually been fixed before it is closed here on SCF. Thank you.
