29 days and the mess is still there, the fire hazard (wood piles - see pics), the cockroaches, bugs, mounds of trash etc still there. The fencing they put on the roof has fallen down, the fence they placed to keep people out is unattached to anything, In other words, nothing has been done. Summer temps are coming, this filth is going to get worse.
The storage garages interiors aren't much better. More filth and cockroach territory. The fire hazard is probably the worst issue here. If it catches fire, lives in the attached apartments will be lost.
Does the city care?

Thank you for your feedback. This case is currently being addressed by the city's Code Enforcement Division. This case is in a "Pending Compliance" state. The city is following the legal course of action to address this issue.

Well, 2 months and the pile is not only NOT cleaned up, it's growing. They're adding mattresses, garbage cans, all kinds of trash. The property owner must either work for the city or know someone in the city to be allowed to continue this environmental mess.

You sent an email asking if I would close the issue? Well, it's now 3 months and the pile is getting larger with more trash, so no, I'm not closing it.

Update from City Code Enforcement Inspector: "WENT BY PROPERTY AND NO VISUAL OF THIS PROBLEM FROM CITY RIGHT OF WAY. NO CONTACT INFO TO CALL CUSTOMER BACK." Please provide your contact information if you would like for the inspector to contact you regarding this issue.

That's interesting. We can see the mattresses and trash from the street, why cant you? Does something HAVE to be visual from the street to be an environmental hazard? It's not a hazard if YOU can't see it? That's the most ridiculous load of bullhockey I've heard in a long time. But I should have expected it, it's typical Albuquerque politics. Maybe you didn't look at the pictures? Or aren't pictures proof of a hazard either. This is a rental property, and that makes it a legitimate concern.

Thanks. They've hidden it all behind a wooden fence so I can't tell you whether it was fixed or not without getting access from a neighbor or resident. Will try.
