I noticed yesterday afternoon around 2 or 3 someone had come to fix this. Not sure if they fixed it before or after we got in touch but many thanks to Public Works for the quick response and especially to Clint for bringing it to everyone's attention.

All street leaks should be reported to the Birmingham Water Works, not to 311 and not to Public Works. Just wastes precious time to get it fixed if do not report directly to Water Works.

Water Works response was not all that quick. I reported it to them 12 days ago. They usually go look at the situation the same day it is reported to them, but they have to prioritize it among all the other things they have going on, so it might seem to that a long time to fix one. That does NOT mean that you shouldn't follow up by reporting it again if you do not see it getting fixed in a timely manner.
