Thank you for speaking up! I have almost been involved in an accident due to this issue. The intersection is so busy to begin with, add to that the idiots that try to make a left turn out ot the gas station onto Springfield Road, which causes people merging from Route 1 to stop suddenly - someone is going to get rear-ended or seriously hurt. I wish the police would just camp out there for a day to see what goes on and actually issue tickets...maybe then those people would reconsider their illegal left turns before they put eveyrone around them at risk.

Its about time someone said something about this! This issue almost causes an accident every time I drive through that intersection. I agree with caa176 that there should be a cop parked in the gas station and I guarantee they will give MANY people tickets for making that illegal left hand turn from Springfield Road into the gas station and also catch people making a left hand turn onto Springfield Road from the parking lot! Someone is bound to get hurt very soon!

This is a serious issue and needs to be addressed immediately. This intersection causes major delays and is very dangerous. There is a no left hand turn sign clearly marked when traveling eastbound on Springfield Road as you cross State Rd. People continue to turn left into the East Coast Gas Station across two lanes of westbound traffic. The other issue is cars exiting the gas station onto Springfield Road and turning left, again going eastbound. This intersection not only causes major delays, but it also leads to possible accidents with cars that are following the correct traffic pattern. The gas station should be required to change the entrance/exit on Springfield Road to only allow for cars traveling westbound on Springfield Road. Please have this addressed immediately.
