Issue is also present on Everett and Cottage streets.
No answer at water department; message to call police department. They instructed to run water outside but that has not solved issue. They have no information on safety. I asked to have someone at water dept call me but so far no response.
Who thought it was acceptable to leave hundreds of people with questionable water and leave for the day?

Thank you for contacting us. The Water Department is working on the water main in the area of Eliot Street which has caused the discoloration in the water. This discoloration is caused by iron and manganese that has settled in the pipes being stirred up by the construction, the water is safe. We are aware of the issue. Please run your cold water tap for 15-20 minutes, if the water doesn't clear please call the Water Division at (508) 647-6557 this morning.

They don't actually know the water is safe. It was not tested. I just spoke to someone at Water and Sewer division. Please be advised.
