Sand erosion is becoming critical along this stretch - there's evidence the morning after storms that sand is washing onto the road.

While the sand is raked on a weekly basis, there is less and less sand on the beaches.

With the last big coastal storm, saw lots of sand from the beach on the road, which suggests that the water may now be breaking up to the road now that the sand buffer is gone.
