Outrageous display of unlawfullness.
7-8 atvs and dirtbikes menacing in street and on sidewalks at major intersection in the middle of the day. Citizens of New Haven are fed up with lack of police action ( yes-I called ). It is shameful that we allow this to continue in our city . The Mayor and the police must address this issue forcefully and immediately . fines are not enough !. Bikers must be chased and vehicles destroyed! .there has to be a better plan .how long will we continue to let this brazen incivility continue destroying the quality of life in our neighborhoods? Enough!

Please continue reporting to SCF and continue to hold the Mayor accountable! As citizens we must not give up on reporting this as well; the police WILL act with good leads, especially now that the City understands that people are UTTERLY fed up with this issue! Also sign the petition, it's up to over 215 signatures from New Haveners like yourselves that are done with the Mayor's inaction. Mayor: give your PD the tools it needs to do it's job and stop passing on the responsibility!

I will be closing dirt bike/ATV complaints that pre-date the conclusion of the police undercover operation (see www.newhavenindependent.org/index.php/archives/entry/9_arrested_in_dirt_bike_sting/). I do not expect the dirt bike/ATV issue to be completely solved, but it will be helpful to policing efforts to distinguish new reports from those before this recent operation.
Please open up new SCF issues as dirt bike/ATV issues re-occur.
