The park lights are dark across the 2 block Prosperity Park.
The rec building is now gone, but the park itself is used by people of all ages well into the dark evening. The playground is always busy after school. This feels like a forgotten 3rd world country as the sunlight fades around 5:00pm and the kids are still playing.
I've seen instances of lewd public behavior and possible drug dealing when lights went out in the past.
Continued safety is important in this neighborhood as it struggles to recover from foreclosures. Please keep our neighborhood safe and
TURN THE LIGHTS BACK ON.

Since de-construction began about a week ago, lights in Prosperity Park are completely out.
This is a public safety hazard with a playground, ball fields, basketball / tennis courts and walking paths all completely in the dark.
The sardonic neighborhood joke around Prosperity is, "This would *never* happen in Highland Park."
