I know that people keep running red lights and I am very careful. I make eye contact with the drivers . That said, a red light is a red light and there is a huge issue in this area of people driving hazardously in a residential area. It even happens in front of police officers who are stationed by all the construction sites. There are no signs saying pedestrian crossing, Cross walks are ignored and anywhere else people would be held accountable. I have been here 18 years, I did not just move here. This and parking are both incredibly difficult around here.

If only the police would put a few cops out at different cross streets and give tickets, maybe that would be a partial solution. Plus it would be a great source of revenue. These cars will keep running lights until the police take a stand. It is not up to pedestrians to continue to be the only ones watching out. This should be a city effort to curb running red lights.
