Description

Construction site took over only sidewalk available for pedestrians in this street. Nothing is made to maintain safe travel of pedestrians. Earlier this week, I witnessed a delivery truck taking over a lane of traffic next to the site, while the local cross country team ran around it, with cars thankfully stopping in time. Seriously, pedestrian traffic should be physically separated from car traffic at that location.

As a local resident I have to use this stretch to walk to work each day, and I along with dozens of other pedestrians, are forced to walk down 1st street as a result of this situation. An alternative would seem necessary for public safety.

Any feedback on that issue? The problem is still there. No sidewalk for peds, tons of delivery traffic and cars.

A lot of issues from this summer and earlier are suddenly being closed without explanation. Has anything been done about this issue? Or is one of the people who sign in under the Ann Arbor Admin account just closing a bunch of issues that they've ignored since the summer? If something has been done, please explain what. Otherwise, stop closing issues that have not been resolved.

We apologize for not relaying more information when this issue was closed. This location had been notified many times of their failure to maintain pedestrian access. As with all private development projects, we investigate all issues we find or are brought to our attention. While primary construction has concluded here, we will continue to follow-up on any delivery vehicle complaints.
