Description
The construction on Bangerter Hwy between 104 and 114 south during the night is causing excessive noise, which is making it impossible to sleep. There are ordinances against noise after 10 PM, what make this project exempt? It would be better to start in the late afternoon for northbound and early morning for southbound and allow the area residents peace during the night. Feel free to contact me, Coy @ 801-232-0568.

Thank you for reaching out to us via Click 'n Fix. We apologize for the nighttime noise and for the inconvenience and loss of sleep that it is causing for you.
The reason for the work at night is partially to avoid disruption of the Bangerter Highway traffic during the day, but also because moving the construction equipment into place is far safer at night. Crews are doing their best to reserve grinding near the most populated areas for earlier in the evenings.
Concrete grinding on the northbound lanes will be wrapping up in the next week or two. It will be followed by grooving, or recessing the concrete in preparation for striping.
As grinding ends on the northbound lanes, it will then commence on the southbound lanes.
Your concerns have been forwarded to our project team. You can contact them by calling (888) 427-8585 or by emailing bangerterresurface@utah.gov.
