I have been living here in the cedar hill area for about 1 year and half now and have felt the house shake. I live in a 2 family three story home. I know its happening since others in the home have confirmed the same experience. I have asked the immediate neighbors and they say they dont experience. I chucked it up to a nearby train since it happens around the same times everyday or even highway constructions but the trembles/tremors have only been getting stronger. I'm mostly concerned for the stability of the structure since its constantly moving. Has anyone else in this area experienced this?

Yes I have felt this over the years
I chalked it up to the Amtrak trains and the speeds that they go
I do think that there should be some investigation regarding it thank you for bringing it up
That's the case then yes it should be communicated that there's no harm in the structures of the homes in the neighboring area

Maybe don't live close by to train tracks?
Seems an easy solution to me...

@ Kent 14
We don't live that close to the trains stations the reason for the concern and questions as to where there coming from one just happened 1 min ago.
@ City of New Haven please address this.
Thanks

I live in Bristol, CT. I've also felt tremors in a three family house I reside in. I've contacted the landlord in regards but nothing has been done in reference to. I've laid on my bed and felt my bed moving. I've put a glass of water on my nightstand and watched the water tremble for 2 minutes or more straight.
