The road really looks and feels terrible. We all take good care of our properties. This situation is not something we can fix ourselves and we NEED it fixed

The road surface on upper Marvelwood (from Laurel Road up to Ray Road) is especially deteriorated.

Actually, the road has been a mess for years. This was true even before all the trucks carrying fill to the golf course ran over it for months and months, making it even worse. I have reported potholes in the past; they get filled, then they open up again, and new ones form besides. The city does not, really cannot, keep up with all the ravages to the pavement. The surface is bad even in warm-weather months.

This road carries traffic headed not only to streets immediately adjacent to it, but to the whole Kohary/Stevenson neighborhood off of Conrad Drive, the whole Curtis Drive / Judwin Avenue neighborhood, and, especially, as a shortcut used by hundreds of cars headed to Woodbridge. It is a terrible embarrassment to the city, but more to the point, it is an ongoing obstacle to its users.

Please, Public Works, find a way to mill and completely resurface the entire length of this road, from Vista Terrace to Knollwood Drive.

The road has been in terrible condition for many years. Potholes appear, they get refilled, then they open up again, and new ones form besides. The roadway needs to be milled and repaved all the way from Vista Terrace to Knollwood Drive. No other solution will adequately address or solve the problem that has been allowed to fester for so long.

The road is a heavily traveled route, used by cars not only going back and forth from its immediate neighborhood, but also by cars trying to bypass Fountain street going to and from Woodbridge. It should be considered a high-priority item for any anticipated repaving schedule.

We will continue to assess pavement through winter. Number of streets that require maintenance. We will evaluate all and then submit for final review and decision in Spring at the Resource Allocation Committee which was created for reviewing citywide projects(paving and sidewalks) Committee includes city departments and several alders. Thanks for reporting.

Please repave Marvelwood Rd from Vista Terrace to Ray Rd in both directions. It is in really bad shape.

The list of summer 2018 milling and paving projects has just been released by the city, and once again, Marvelwood Drive is NOT included. I can understand if there likely are many streets around town that desperately need attention also, but Marvelwood has been reported for years now -- and especially in view of the 11% tax increase that the city is currently requiring us to swallow, it is galling not to see it included. Absolutely galling. The street accommodates a great deal of traffic, the street was damaged even more than previously several years ago by heavy Yale truckloads of soil transferred to the Golf Course property, and the street continues to be omitted from any repaving program. Filling potholes over and over and over again is emphatically NOT an answer.

We are closing older pothole issues in order to focus on current pothole issues. Many of the older issues were addressed through our Street Division but were never closed. Other issues reported in the "pothole category" are road conditions beyond an "immediate fix/patch. We've reviewed those locations and will consider them in our paving season. Thanks.

Wait -- Do I understand this correctly? The city is CLOSING this issue? In spite of multiple reports by multiple people over multiple years? In spite of reports by our alder himself? In spite of the city knowing it needs to keep filling potholes in a ravaged roadway over and over and over again?

This issue needs to remain open, please.
