I cross at this intersection on foot five times a week. Many cars do not slow down so I run acorss the street to make sure they don't hit me. If this intersection was striped properly it would improve my chances of being safe.
Thanks for restriping the crosswalk, but my issue also said "lane lines." The yellow line that is supposed to go down the middle of Foothill Way is still almost non-existent. I'm going to reopen this issue for that.

Yes, please! Lots of people apparently think Foothill is a one-way freeway on-ramp, and a more visible yellow line might remind them that there could be two-way traffic there.
Can the crosswalk at Foothill and Marlow (by the apartment buildings) be painted like the ones at Dutton and MacArthur (by the gas station and QuikStop)? Those crosswalks have additional striping within the crosswalk lines. I think the additional lines would make the crosswalk much more visible to approaching vehicles and much safer for pedestrians.

Oakland, I'm so sorry. When I opened this issue, I never thought about how the crosswalks at Dutton/Marlow and MacArthur are full of stripes. I'm so glad D Yee reopened this issue, because that is an excellent suggestions. These crosswalks (Marlow and Foothill Way) are more dangerous than the ones 1/2 block away and very much need to be more visible! Thank you, Don Yee, for realizing this.
Could not agree more! I appreciate what has been done thus far.
What else can be done to make it more obvious to those vehicles left-turning onto freeway "on ramp" that they MUST yield to those of us exiting Sheffield Village toward MacArthur?
This fix really needs to be addressed soon. Too many close calls happen at this intersection. The problem will become a greater issue when the school year begins at the end of August.
Dangerous to be driving straight ahead and have vehicles make left turn onto Foothill without yielding to traffic on Dutton/Marlow. Continues to be an issue.
