The South part of the ditch on the Baker's property will have work beginning on it around the first of March, 2011 according to Richard Penn, Bryant Roads Engineer. The Bryant City Council approved it in the January Council Meeting.

It appears that physical work on the road culvert and the Baker's south half of the ditch will start soon. The road has been marked off. Utilities have come out and looked the situation over to bury the utilities deeper which means there has to be a break and an extension made.

The Collins' north side will remain until the appeals process has completed. So even though the Collins won a judgement in court against the city, the city council is refusing to complete the project on the north side because they don't want to have to pay court costs. They will probably end up paying even more court costs. And we will end up looking at that propped up fence and weeds in the neighborhood that much longer with an exposed gas line. And if it were not for the Collins taking it to court, I don't think anything would be starting at all. Yet they are the ones who must wait.

I do believe that one side of the road will be repaired and enclosed in culvert starting about the 15th of April 2011.

The east side of the ditch is almost piped. Work began almost a month ago. The west side is pending an appeal on a lawsuit.

The city has fixed the southeast side of the ditch, but the northwest side of the ditch is still in negotions/suite won against the city/appealled to be heard much later. I sure wish one side or the other would give more. The real winners are going to be the two winners.

One side of the ditch has been filled. But the city and the Collins cannot come to terms on the other side of the road. The jury spoke in favor of the Collins, but the city is refusing to honor that verdict by appealing the decision. Must we have this fence in our neighborhood forever?

One side was reclaimed by the city to yard area beautifully. The other side still languishes in weeds and crooked fence with utilities still out of the ground. It looks awful.

Is the other side of our drainage ditch never going to be resolved? It is so ugly nasty with all the tall weeds inside the chainlink fence.

One side of the road is still a nasty ditch behind a tall wobbly chain link fence with weeds growing tall. What a shame that our little corner of the world has to be thus blighted. Stiil has underground utilities gas, electric and cable exposed.

Nothing has changed to the ditch on the NW side of Augusta Cv except that the weeds are thicker and the fence has more bent places.

Okay! This issue should have been fixed by now. I'll go ahead and close it out. If it has not been repaired all this time then you should need to call Arkansas One Call at 811 and call the power tv cable telephone gas water sewerage companies plus including the city state or county as well. Thanks!

Also if you suspect that a crime happened that caused the problem then call the police or fire department if you suspect and funny smell of burning fire or natural gas which would smell like rotten eggs.
