Description

We've now had the 4-way stop sign at Prospect and Grove for several weeks. I commute through that intersection, westbound on Grove in the morning, reversed in the evening. It appears the work was done well but I believe it was a gross mistake. Every morning there is a substantial back up, (westbound on Grove) trying to get through that intersection. In that time I have not seen two cars backed up traveling on Prospect. This morning traffic was backed up past the Hornstra sign on Grove. It took 4:50' to get through that intersection. I've been counting and it appears it is at least 20 to 1 cars on Grove to Prospect. It makes no sense. The time and fuel wasted and pollution generated is absurd.
I assume it was a safety concern that prompted the redesign and that is great, but the 4 way stop sign should not be part of that solution.
Please review and consider options.
