The intersection at Elbow Lane & ParkSt N needs a signal light. We have almost been hit several times trying to cross the street. The mayor came to Jungle Prada association meeting two years ago. He said funding had already been approved for this light to be installed. When will it be done.

To Steven Francis. This was a post for the need of a traffic signal at a Park St & Elbow Lane.
To Michael Frederick. Please recheck your files. It was posted the last time on 6/20/16 and acknowledged by the mayors action center on the same day. It was stated at that time that the mayor had attended the Jungle Prada association meeting and stated that funding had already been approved to install a traffic signal at this location. The flashing lights don't always work and even when the do work, the cars do not stop.
We were going across Park St today to eat lunch at JP Tavern. We waited as usual for the heavy traffic to go by before we pushed the button to activate th flashing lights. The car approaching in the outside lane stopped. We started across and a car in the inside lane came flying through. Four cars came through from the opposite direction without stopping. This happens continuously. It is very dangerous. Please don't wait until someone is killed here before you install a signal light. Thank you.

The Mayor's Office checked the 06/20/16 submission #2610009 and it was a request to fix the existing crosswalk. "LED crosswalk lights seem to be stuck on to cross Park St at Elbow LN".
Only subsequent "comments" referenced anything to do with a traffic signal and I don't necessarily see - comments unfortunately.
Regardless, we are checking the intersection now to see if a full traffic signal is warranted and will report.

Transportation Department staff have just completed our 24-hour traffic study and signal analysis and determined that the side street vehicle volume is too low to meet the state requirement to consider a traffic control signal at this locations.
Specifically, the criteria requires at lest 105 vehicles an hour from the side street and 500 vehicles minimum from the main street approaches, for each hour during an 8-hours period of the day. The side street volume recorded in our study ranged between 20 and 33 vehicles per hour, far short of the required 150 needed.
