All of zone 4 parking (or at least every block I saw from Lombard up to Spruce and from 13th to 8th) is being blocked off for tomorrow's cleaning event. The signs were just put up a day or two ago and there is nowhere else to park since it encompasses the whole parking zone. Many residents have work or family obligations from 8am - 1 pm this Saturday and will now have their cars towed. If only a few blocks were closed at a time and/or there was more advanced notice, the residents of the area may have been able to plan accordingly. With no place left to park and no notice, it's a real burden on those who are not two adult households with 9-5 weekday jobs and no family obligations outside of the city. Isn't there a limit to the number of parking spaces that can be blocked off in a single parking zone at once? Aren't there regulations about how far in advance an organization should put up the no parking signs?
