Mr. Gooch - the outage has been reported to Georgia Power several times. There seems to be an issue on GA Power's side and we are looking into it. Thank you for your patience as we work to get this light restored.

Amber, my understanding is that it's been reported to GP several times already. I don't understand why the residents are expected to follow up to see that the light is repaired. Why don't you have GP report back to you when the light is repaired, since it is their responsibility, and they will be the first to know when the job is completed. ?

Mr. Gooch - you are correct, it has. I was not expecting you to follow up on it, but wanted to make sure you had my contact number in the event that it had not been repaired. GA Power does notify us when a light has been repaired with a generic phone call, but unfortunately, they do not indicate specifics on the intersection, etc. I will continue to follow up and look into the issue (as I previously stated) until the light is repaired. Hi Mr. Gooch - On Friday I was notified by one of the supervisors with GA Power that the entire head was replaced and the street light should now be fully functional.

Hi, Amber-we went by the street light last night about 8:30 on the way home, and it was not functional.

Mr. Gooch - I notified GA Power 3 days ago and they are continuing to evaluate and follow up on the repair of the street light. I appreciate your patience.

Amber, I went by the street light yesterday at 11 am, and the lamp was on. There is also a long ( 6-10 feet) black cable hanging down from the lamp, with a frayed end.
I would think that in three weeks they could get around to putting this street light in good working order.
Are we referring to the same light ? ( #132).

Street light is on during the day, and off at night, when it is needed. There is still a black cable hanging down from the lamp, with a frayed end.
It is so dark at that intersection on Landings Way that we almost missed the turn coming home last night.
It is a real safety issue.

I'm awaiting a response from a GA Power supervisor so that he can provide me with an update on the repair. The supervisor has been notified that the light is on during the day, but is off at night. As soon as I hear back from him, I will let you know. Thank you.

Hi Mr. Gooch - I was notified by GA Power that the light at the intersection at Landings Way South/Yam Gandy has been repaired. Association staff also went out to verify after sunset on same. Should you need anything else, please let me know.
