the city has been doing this for years.they tell us to shovel in 24 hrs. or get a ticket then they bury clean sidewalks.

The city trucks did this to our walk 3 times on Sunday. Plow trucks drive too fast, therefore shooting the snow farther than necessary.
Good luck, tje city does not care about the taxpayers!

The city will not send a crew to remedy the mess they created!

Get pictures (preferably with time n date stamp) showing it's been cleared & relax until/unless a ticket is issued. No excuse for them not to assign your area to one driver who can handle going slow enough each time. Pretty simple to fix for any administer who cares to do so.

Problem is that no admin cares!

I contacted DPS director Stan. He replied to my email saying I should call him or Brad to discuss. Repeatedly called DPS Office all week with no one answered, no email or voicemail response made. I had to hire a crew to remove it, as well as use chemical drivers to get it removed before Friday's new snow. Also bought traffic cones to mark my sidewalk. Altogether 90$ to resolve this, with Zero response from DPS. This money is taken from planned family gifts the week before Christmas...

We are plowing your street with much consideration to residents. Unfortunately the consideration given does not fit every situation. Eight inches of snow in the middle of the road is about a foot and a half by the time you get to the curb. The drainage system is at the curb, we have to take the snow to the curb. The change of weather makes for different condition, what’s bad at 14 degrees is not so bad at 33 degrees. Freezing condition create different challenges than warmer melting condition with “run off”. All of these things have to be and are considered when plowing. Thank you we will continue to consider the best resolve for all our residence in our maintenance effort.

Your response skirts the issues, its nice to know y'all mean well (as i'm sure you do) but, the crippled up old man is still not responsible for cleaning up after your (granted "well intended") mess. Explaining that your job can be more difficult at times than at others Fails to resolve anything. We all know you generally do a great job of dealing with the snow. We know its a difficult job. thx.
Residents are responsible to maintain walks against the effects of the weather/nature. You failed to address that problem here my friend. He/we need you to clean the mess you create or stop creating it. that's the issue. now please explain What changes will be made to prevent or clean up after this burdensome mess. You are responsible for any injuries that result from your actions or lack there of not the Resident, specially now that you been publicly informed.
So what exactly will be done to fix (not explain away) this problem?

I live on Garland and Vinewood. I was given a ticket for not shoveling our sidewalk and then received a 100.00 bill for supposedly the city coming out to shovel for us. We have no evidence that any of this took place, except a bill. So the city comes and shovels if they can then turn around and bill a resident for it. Great. And I live in a city that has one of the highest city taxes in the state. If my house wasnt still under water (10 years after purchase) I'd be able to move.
