Description
Yesterday morning at 7:45am-ish, it is took me 2-3 full light cycles to make a left turn from northbound Frankford Rd onto westbound W Plano Pkwy. This left turn does not seem like a priority in the traffic light pattern. There was a dedicated left-turn green light after a couple cycles of flashing yellow lights. The flashing yellow is nearly useless because southbound Ohio Frankford is very congested and backs up a couple blocks south near the railroad. There is no gap to turn left before southbound green light turns red. Traffic on northbound left straight lane became backed up in result of everyone waiting to make a left turn. At least 3-8 cars gave up on turning left and went to the left straight lane. Once the left turn light actually turned green, the people who gave up turning left in previous cycle flashed their turn signals and illegally turned left from a straight lane making the situation dangerous if someone is aggressive or turns too wide. Due to frustration, 1 driver turned left right when it started flashing yellow right in front of the cars starting to accelerate southbound.
