Oakland is letting the homeless do as they please. This is just outrageous.

City of Oakland just gives props for the homeless encampments.

Homeless sure have taken over. Laws don't apply to them. Trash everywhere. Encampments everywhere. Public drug usage and drinking everywhere. I'm still waiting for the area I live in to be cleaned. On 36th and MLK Jr Way under the overpass. Oakland is just a mess. So sad.

The silent policy of the City is that West Oakland is the designated area of Oakland for homeless encampments.

Hope everyone remembers to vote these city leaders out of office. This is outrageous that the homeless get to openly do as they please. The city needs to try and they aren't, they don't want to

The vagrants are always loitering at the bus stop and leaving trash and junk around the bus shelter. There is a lot human excrement behind the bus shelter. This make it very unpleasant for passengers waiting for 72R , 72M, and 72.

Sheisshonie, today 2/17/15 at 4:00 p.m.,I saw City of Oakland Dump truck on Northgate & 27-26th Street giving this huge homeless encampment curb side service. Tax payers & Waste Management customers don't even get this type of service.

If the City of Oakland won't clean it, can AC Transit clean it?

Johan, I hate to say this but I think we're screwed. The City already know about this issue. The reason why nothing is done is because our neighborhood is "zoned" for encampments and the homeless know this. We don't have the affluent people to represent our neighborhood like the people living in the Oakland Hills. We are the sacrificial lamb to suit the City's political agenda.

I am pretty up on the City's zoning I cannot find where thery able to rezone your neighborhood for illegal camping. The City is already violating several of there own muni codes and several laws. ADA violations, clean water act all at the taxpayers expense. They do not have that authority. They have allowed the problem to bloom past 6000 people living on the streets of Oakland. Oakland currently has no viable leadership.

The bus stop shelter has been cleared, but these vagrant are back again; loitering, smoking crack, and trashing the proximity of the bus shelter.
