BTW, brilliant thinking on the part of the Common Council. Let's tear down the Hoan, narrow 2nd and wonder why no one can reach Bay View and south from downtown without horrendous traffic jams. I know the Hoan thing is far from a done deal, but really!

Hoan replacement isn't going to happen, unfortunately. Nor did the Common Council ever take a full vote on it.
If you go back and watch the Common Council meetings regarding the project (or read the coverage), you'll find that the number of property owners that didn't want the improvements to the street were in the minority.
